Today at church we talked about the power of focus. I was reminded of Genesis 30 where we find a somewhat strange story of Jacob exposing the whites of trees and poplar rods and putting them before the superior goats while they were conceiving at the watering troughs. I mean, who does that, right? But it worked! What the goats beheld had something to do with what they produced. I believe that the same is true in our lives. If we want to walk in God’s best, then instead of allowing our circumstances, feelings, and questions to sideline us, we fix our eyes on His Promises. (Proverbs 4:20-22)
